Motorola is among the first to distribute the update to Android 5.0.1 "Lollipop". Thus the manufacturer maintains its line with early updates to "clean" Android.
The distribution of Android 5.0 for the first and second generation Moto G, which was originally started in November, has been stopped in the meantime. Now it seems that the distribution on Android 5.0.1 is running, which should fix some bugs, at least according to telecom-press.at. As usual with such updates, Motorola does not distribute the update to all customers at the same time, but rolls it out bit by bit - no devices with Android 5.0.1 are known from Germany yet.
Android 5.0.1 then also brings everything that the Android "Lollipop" release is: material design, better battery life and better safety.
Update 21.02.2015
Apparently the update to Android 5.0.2 "Lollipop" has arrived in Germany, at least there are first User reports. At the same time, Golem.de reports that the 2014 Moto G problems with the update and the mobile data networks no longer function correctly. When there will be a solution is still open.
