T-Mobile brings Android 1.5 to the G1

The new Android OS 1.5 (Cupcake) will be available for the T-Mobile G1 at the beginning of May. The update will be installed "over-the-air", i.e. the user only needs to confirm the installation.

This is T-Mobile's reaction to the HTC Magic, which is in the program at Vodafone, and is a signal against the fears that T-Mobile customers would have to wait even longer for the new Android software, which includes significant advances and improvements.

One of the innovations: the previously unavoidable registration with Google is no longer necessary, the G1 can now be used without a Google account - the functions are now optional.
