On BGR a first picture of a mobile phone appeared, which is traded as G1 Version 2 (V2). This model looks more like the well known mobile phones from the HTC range and - if the picture is authentic - doesn't seem to become a "love it or hate it" design like the current G1. The question is: what the heck takes so long to pack the G1 hardware into another case? And why is it that no one but HTC dares to put mobile phones with the open Android platform?
