o2 with problems with the Android 2.2 update for the HTC Desire

o2 has started distributing Android 2.2 for the HTC Desire, which apparently didn't go entirely smoothly: users reported that there were problems with devices with Super LCD technology in particular. The device is said to have got stuck on the HTC screen after the update.

o2 has recognized the problem and wants to release an update within the next 24 hours, which will also be distributed over-the-air. How this will work with devices that do not react anymore is still open.
