Android 2.2 comes with Flash 10.1 - but how?

Andy Rubin has told the New York Times that Android 2.2 will come with Flash support. Although it is still unclear whether Flash is integrated ex works or has to be installed later, it is an interesting development - Apple still refuses to support Flash.

Google obviously wants to handle this differently - it can only be good for the users if the smartphone providers also try to win customers via features. Whether Apple can continue to ignore this with the growing success of the Android platform (Android can run on almost any device, as we know) and continue to rely on a closed platform remains to be seen.
