For a little over a week now, I've been trying to reserve an iPhone 5 at the Munich Apple store in Rosenstraße every morning shortly before or shortly after 9am - actually only because I don't feel like chasing after the package (and I'm also planning to move in the next few weeks).
Apparently it is impossible to reserve an iPhone 5 through the Apple website. Whether black or white, whether 16 or 32 gigabytes (64 are definitely too expensive with me) - no chance, so far I have never received a mail back from Apple. Really a bit sad that Apple is not even able to supply their own stores with devices. Probably I also have some disadvantages, because I'm looking for an iPhone 5 without SIM-Lock and without Net-Lock - for contracts Apple probably gets a commission from the providers, so that there is a little bit more profit. Still, it's a pity...without iPhone 5, I won't know how the iPhone 5 with Congstar beats.
Update: Today I could pick up a white iPhone 5 now. But after the introduction of the LG Nexus 4 I am a bit
skeptical that the iPhone 5 is worth the money.
Update 11/14/2012: After I wanted to wait for the LG Nexus 4, the delivery situation made me decide to order an iPhone 5 again - which worked out this time.
