Apple iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus introduced

Apple today unveiled the next generation of iPhones. As always after two generations there is a new case and this time two new screen sizes.

Apple enlarges the iPhone again after the iPhone 5: 4.7 or 5.5 inches the screen of the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plustwo versions of the iPhone will be launched on the market. The iPhone 6 will be available from 19.09.2014, it can also be pre-ordered in Germany from 12 September. Prices in Germany start at 699,- Euro for the 16 GB version of the iPhone 6 and 799,- Euro for the iPhone 6 Plus. The price of the iPhone 5S is decreasing and it is now available from 599,- Euro - at some retailers e.g. via Amazon already for considerably less.

All iPhones from the 4S as well as all iPads from iPad 2 will get the update to iOS 8 on September 17th. Apple thus maintains its exemplary update policy for old devices - Android devices are still a bit behind in this respect, after all there are two complete model generations between the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 6.
