Apparently, the mass of Android 3.0 tablets is further delayed. While the Motorola Xoom will be launched in April by both Telekom (and can't compete with the iPad in terms of price there either), the alternatives from the Android stock are apparently delayed further. At least that's what Digitimes reports (and the shelves at the dealers show a similar picture). According to this, various factors are supposed to delay the market launch: Android 3.0 is still too unstable, the sales figures of the Xoom are too bad, the availability of parts due to the Japanese catastrophe is also bad and the brand "Android" does not invite to buy.
It all sounds a little shady. My guess is that the tablet manufacturers outside of Apple have problems with pricing, since no manufacturer has been able to bring themselves to buy corresponding components in bulk, as Apple has done. As a result, the Apple Group is now in the very relaxed position of being able to offset the price increases caused by the earthquake in Japan from its own funds. Even if it's not appropriate in an Android blog: currently there is no way around Apple when it comes to tablets.

Yes, it's a pity - I also had higher hopes for the Android tablets, but now it will probably be an iPad 2.
