Google seems to have finished the next Android version, codenamed "Gingerbread". Appropriately, a giant gingerbread man was placed in front of Google's headquarters. Gingerbread will come to the devices either as Android 2.3 or Android 3.0 - hopefully faster than Android 2.2, but so far there have been no comments from the phone manufacturers regarding the new operating system.
Little is known about the functions that will come with Gingerbread: WebM videos are to be supported, the integration of popular social networks such as Facebook is to be improved, and game support is to be enhanced.
