Amazon.de now has the Motorola Milestone available. For 463,50€ including shipping the Android 2.0 smartphone can be purchased there, according to Amazon (in any case, the hint is missing) a branding-free device. If Amazon is not mistaken, this is the difference between the o2 and especially Vodafone devices. The latter have a branding in the form of an icon, which cannot be easily removed.
Soon the first reports will surely appear, how/if the Amazon Milestone differs from the devices of the network operators.
To answer that question: The branding-free devices apparently don't have access to all parts of the Android market. The O2 and Vodafone devices (I have a Vodafone, which is only noticeable by the menu icon mentioned above) can access the complete market.
