The Motorola Milestone, as it will be called in the USA under the name "Droid", is to be available from 16.11.2009, i.e. Monday, at o2 be available. For 481,-€ you will be able to buy it without a contract via MyHandy, it can also be ordered at Amazonthere the delivery date is still open - but it is a little cheaper for 463, - € to get.
The device is especially interesting for frequent writers because of the QWERTY keyboard, besides that it has the latest features thanks to Android 2.0, but it's not a "with Google" device, so you'll have to rely on Motorola for updates and not Google's updates. But this does not necessarily have to be a disadvantage, it remains to be seen how this will work in practice.
Maybe Motorola manages to establish a competitor to the Iphone, after the somewhat loveless G1 it finally needs a consistent Android smartphone, where you don't constantly wonder why the manufacturer couldn't pack it into a real case.
